Preschool

Who is Eligible?
Children who turn 4 on or before the 30th April, have access to 12 hours of Preschool per week in 2009.

When/Where and How Do I enrol?
Enrolments will be accepted from May 1st, at Gilmore Primary School Front Office. You will need to bring with you: proof of child’s age, (birth certificate or passport), their immunisation record and proof of residence (drivers licence or utility bill). Please call the school on 6205 7844 if you have further queries.

Dolphins (week 1) Monday, Tuesday & Wednesday 9.00am – 3.00pm
(week 2) Monday & Tuesday 9.00am - 3.00pm

Seahorses (week 1) Thursday & Friday 9.00am – 3.00pm
(week 2) Wednesday, Thursday & Friday 9.00am - 3.00pm

Voluntary Contributions
Preschools in the ACT are provided by the ACT Government. Gilmore Preschool is an integral part of Gilmore Primary School. The School Board sets a voluntary contribution each year. The monies collected are used to provide additional resources for educational programs across the school from Kindergarten to year 6. The Preschool is supported by the Preschool Sub committee of the Gilmore Parents & Citizens Association (P&C). Parents with enrolled children automatically become members of the P&C.

How Can I Help?
We greatly value your involvement. There are many ways that you can support your child’s Preschool education:

Offering to help in the class on a roster basis with small group activities, craft, reading to the children.
Excursions.
Sharing special skills and interests, playing an instrument, pottery, carpentry.
P&C Sub Committee. Keep up to date with what is happening at preschool and be a part of the decision making on how your fundraising is spent.
